Apply & track with Apply EdgeJob Purpose:Support the effective credit assessment and ongoing monitoring of the Commercial Banking portfolio by carrying out timely, accurate and independent analysis in line with the Bank's credit policies, procedures and risk appetite.Ensure that all preliminary documents required with Commercial Banking credit applications are available, complete and appropriately reviewed before detailed credit assessment.Review financial and non-financial information, identify key credit risks and mitigants, and provide an independent credit opinion and recommendation to the relevant approving authority.Support maintenance of portfolio quality through timely reviews, early identification of warning signals and follow-up of credit conditions and action points.Principal Accountabilities:Preliminary Review and Credit AssessmentReview Commercial Banking credit applications at the initial stage to ensure required documents, information and approvals are complete and valid.Identify missing, outdated or inconsistent information and coordinate with the Relationship Team for timely clarification or submission.Analyse financials, cash flows, borrowing position, business profile, industry dynamics, management quality, repayment capacity and proposed facility structure.Assess key risks, mitigants, policy compliance, delegated authority and risk appetite, and prepare a clear Credit Risk Assessment Summary with balanced recommendation, conditions and covenants.Undertake customer or site visits, to develop an independent understanding of the business and operating risks.Portfolio Monitoring and Follow-upSupport periodic reviews, renewals and monitoring of assigned accounts, covering financial performance, account conduct, covenants, excesses, arrears and documentation exceptions.Identify early warning signals and escalate material deterioration, adverse developments or policy breaches to the Line Manager.Follow up on approval conditions, deferrals and action points with Coverage, CAD and other stakeholders.Process, Reporting and CollaborationMaintain accurate credit records, trackers and management information, and support Credit Committee submissions or related reporting as required.Work closely with Coverage, CAD, Risk, Legal, Compliance and other functions to ensure timely and well-controlled credit processing.Contribute to process improvements, portfolio reviews and other assignments allocated by the Line Manager.Job Requirements (Qualification/Experience):Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.Professional or postgraduate qualifications such as MBA, CA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent will be an advantage.3 to 5 years of relevant experience in corporate or commercial banking credit analysis, credit underwriting, relationship support or a similar banking role.Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic will be an advantage.
