We are supporting a growing and data-driven financial services platform in the search for Credit Analyst. This role sits at the center of the credit function, combining detailed financial analysis with independent decision-making and close collaboration across risk, commercial, and operations teams.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse financial and transactional data to assess creditworthinessEvaluate repayment capacity by reviewing cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and overall business sustainability, identifying key risk and growth driversStructure tailored financing solutions, defining appropriate loan size, duration, and pricing based on risk profilesTake ownership of credit decisions within defined approval limits, ensuring consistency and alignment with internal risk frameworksAssess complex or non-standard credit cases and develop pragmatic, risk-appropriate solutionsBalance business growth objectives with prudent risk management to support sustainable portfolio developmentContribute to monitoring and improving portfolio quality, identifying trends and potential risk signalsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (risk, commercial, operations) to ensure aligned and efficient deal executionSupport the enhancement of underwriting standards, credit policies, and decision frameworks through continuous feedbackIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency in underwriting processes, including workflow optimisation and the use of dataEnsure clear and structured documentation of credit decisions and underlying rationaleRequirementsExperience in underwriting, credit analysis, or risk managementSolid understanding of corporate financials, including financial statement analysis and cash flow assessmentExperience in making or supporting credit decisions with awareness of risk-return considerationsStrong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and derive clear conclusionsAbility to work with both traditional financial information and alternative data sourcesStructured and efficient working style, with the ability to manage multiple cases in parallelHigh level of ownership and confidence in decision-making within defined frameworksStrong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively across different stakeholdersInterest in improving processes and contributing to scalable underwriting frameworksProficient in Excel; experience with data tools or SQL is an advantageFluent German and English language skills, written and spoken
