Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant

Are you an experienced credit control or finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, building strong customer relationships and seeing tasks through to completion?We’re looking for a proactive Credit Controller & Accounts Assistant to join our friendly, close-knit UK Finance team at Evergreen Garden Care. We are the leading garden care company outside North America, with market‑leading brands across the UK, Europe and beyond. Our purpose is simple: to help create greener, better spaces for happier, healthier lives.This is a varied, hands-on role, with approximately 75% focused on Credit Control and Accounts Receivable, alongside providing support across Accounts Payable and the wider Finance function. You’ll take ownership of customer accounts, maximise cash collection, resolve queries and disputes, monitor aged debt and support reconciliations and month-end activities We’re looking for someone with:Credit control, accounts receivable or finance assistant experienceStrong communication and negotiation skillsExcellent numerical skills and attention to detailConfidence managing customer queries and difficult conversations professionallyExperience using Excel and finance systemsSAP or similar ERP experience would be advantageousAn AAT or CICM qualification would be welcomed, but it isn’t essential. Relevant practical finance experience is equally valued.
