Your New Company:A well-established, fast-growing business operating in the premium consumer goods sector. The company combines strong commercial performance with a close-knit, professional finance team and a supportive working environment. Based in Central London, the business continues to expand across UK and EU markets.Your New RoleAs Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable Analyst, you'll play a key role in managing cash flow, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting wider finance operations. This is a hands-on role offering exposure across credit control, accounting support, VAT, and Amazon Seller Central reporting.You'll be office-based five days per week, working closely with senior stakeholders and contributing to continuous finance process improvement.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Receivable / Credit ControlProactively chase outstanding debts by phone and email in line with agreed payment termsInvestigate and resolve internal and external payment queries, keeping directors informed of progressReview invoices, remittances, and payments to identify and resolve discrepanciesProcess customer credit card payments via PDQ machines and payment terminalsIssue weekly/monthly statements, invoices, and credit notes (and on request)Set up new customer accounts and liaise with internal teams to support timely query resolutionFinancial Analysis & Accounting SupportRecord and reconcile transactions across the sales ledger, purchase ledger, and cashbookAccurately process sales and purchase invoicesPerform month-end reconciliations, investigating credit balances, discrepancies, and rebatesAssist with VAT registrations and reconciliation of VAT control accounts for monthly and quarterly VAT returns (UK, EU, multi-currency)Process daily income, cheque payments, and online banking transactionsProduce ad hoc financial and management reports as requiredAmazon Seller Central ManagementManage and navigate Amazon Seller Central, producing sales, settlement, and financial reportsCollate and reconcile Amazon sales data, fees, and VAT informationSupport Marketplace Facilitator VAT requirements, including Amazon's role in collecting and remitting VAT for UK and EU salesWhat You'll Need to Succeed:At least 2 years' experience in a credit control or accounts receivable roleStrong Excel skills and confidence using Office 365Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilityConfident telephone and written communication skillsWell-organised, flexible approach with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesWhat You'll Get in Return:Working hours: 9am-5pm, office-based 5 days per week20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays2 additional days annual leave for Jewish High HolidaysStatutory pensionAnnual salary review with increases every 12 monthsUnlimited staff discount on jewellery purchases (60-70% off retail prices)What you need to do now:If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.If this job isn't quite right for you, but you are looking for a new position, please contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
