The position is responsible for proactively engaging with customers to ensure the timely settlement of sales invoices, thereby maintaining healthy cash flow and liquidity. In addition, the role will contribute to effective credit risk management by monitoring and controlling credit exposure, supporting informed decision-making and safeguarding the business as it continues to grow.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:Processing of sales invoice throughout the monthIssuing monthly statements to all customersIdentify customers with invoices that have become overdueReduce debtor days and percentage of overdue accounts to ensure targets are met and system/process problems are identifiedContact customers by phone and email to identify any issues with the accounts and seek to resolve them, including liaison with colleagues at THXAccurately record information and outcomes gathered from customer and colleague contactEncourage payment of overdue invoices and identify when payments will be madeFollow up to ensure payment have been made as agreed and make further contact if necessaryAssist in negotiating payment plans and starting legal proceedings, if requiredUpdating customers records with credit reports and credit limits on a regular basisPost and allocate customers receipts on the systemManage the legal cases by liaising with insurers and solicitorsBuild constructive relationships with THX customersRaise relevant issues to the Financial ControllerRequirements:Previous experience in a credit control roleStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage 50)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both written and verbalA proactive and flexible approach to workKey CompetenciesTeam player with a can-do attitudeForward thinking and not afraid of changeAbility to challenge existing processes in a constructive wayAbility to think outside the box and suggest better ways of workingAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesDiscreet and trustworthy with sensitive informationBenefitsTHX Values: As a family-centred business, people are at the heart of everything we do.
