This is an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver or early-career candidate with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related subject who is looking to begin their professional career in finance.We are looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and confident communicating with customers. Full training and support will be provided to help the successful candidate develop their skills and build a long-term career with MNK Group.The RoleAs a credit controller, you will be responsible for supporting the effective management of customer accounts and ensuring outstanding invoices are followed up and collected in a timely manner.You will work closely with customers and internal teams to resolve payment queries, maintain accurate records and help maintain a healthy cash flow for the business.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor a portfolio of customer accountsContact customers by telephone & email regarding outstanding invoicesFollow up overdue payments professionally and proactivelyAllocate and reconcile customer payments accuratelyInvestigate and resolve invoice and payment queriesMaintain accurate and up-to-date customer account recordsPrepare and review aged debt reportsWork closely with the finance and wider business teams to resolve account issues.Escalate complex or long-standing debt issues when appropriate.Assist with month-end reporting and other finance activitiesEnsure company credit control procedures are followedBuild positive and professional relationships with customersAbout YouWe are looking for a school leaver or recent graduate who is keen to start a career within Insurance.Essential:A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related financial disciplineStrong numerical and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and organisationGood written and verbal communication skillsConfident using Microsoft Excel and other computer systemsA professional and positive attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong willingness to learn and developDesirablePrevious work experience, placement or internship within finance or administrationFamiliarity with accounting or finance systemsSome understanding of credit control, accounts receivable or bookkeeping
