Credit Controller

About the RoleWe are seeking a Credit Controller to manage premium collections and stakeholder coordination. The role focuses on ensuring timely client collections, to lead escalations and drive improvements in the credit control measurement matrices.Key ResponsibilitiesRequest and obtain insurer statements; ensure all client premium collections are completed as quickly as possibleFollow up with clients to secure timely premium collections and prevent Notice of Cancellation, suspensions, or policy interruptionsUpdate insurers, broking teams regularly on collection status and expected remittancesHandle escalations from clients, insurers, and internal teams with timely and professional resolutionRequest and manage Receipt Vouchers from insurers; share with clients and internal departmentsRespond to queries from clients, sales teams, and internal departments regarding premium status and account balancesConduct internal meetings with Brokers and the Sales team to review outstanding premiums, align on priorities, and clear aged balancesSupport process improvements, enhance collection tracking, and ensure adherence to internal controlMonthly & ad hoc reporting of outstanding brokerages & premiums with senior management and stakeholdersAny adhoc credit control related tasks that may come up from time to timeQualificationsProfessional degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field5 plus years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or relevant Insurance experienceStrong reconciliation and account management skills, with the ability to handle complex, multi‑party accountsExcellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilitiesHigh attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and ability to perform under pressure
