Apply & track with Apply EdgeRobert Half are delighted to be partnering with an established and highly regarded business based in Cambourne, Cambridge, to recruit a Credit Controller to join their finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys taking ownership of their ledger, building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, and playing a key role in improving cash collection and reducing outstanding debt.Reporting into the Credit Control Manager, you will take responsibility for a designated portfolio of customers, working closely with operational teams across the business to ensure debts are managed effectively and queries are resolved promptly. The role offers a varied workload within a supportive and collaborative finance environment.ResponsibilitiesAs the Credit Controller, you will be responsible for:Managing and monitoring the collection of outstanding customer balancesWorking towards monthly cash collection targetsBuilding effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersPreparing and distributing aged debt reportsIssuing customer statements and collection correspondenceManaging accounts that require credit restrictions or "on stop" proceduresInvestigating and resolving queries that may be delaying paymentMaintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account recordsProcessing daily cash receipts, allocations and monthly direct debit paymentsSupporting the setup of new customer accountsSupporting the Credit Control Manager with projects aimed at improving cash collection and overall credit control processesYour ProfileThe successful candidate will ideally have:Previous experience working within Credit ControlA proven track record of successfully collecting debt and delivering against targetsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workloadGood knowledge of ExcelPrevious experience using ERP/accounting systems, with IFS experience advantageousA proactive, professional and positive approachThe ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider teamA full UK driving licenceWhat's on Offer?Competitive salary of £30 - £32,000Hybrid working (Three days in the office and two from home)Opportunity to join an established businessVaried Credit Control position, with plenty of interaction across the wider organisation.Occasional travel to other locations across the UK.For further information or to apply, please contact Robert Half.Robert HalfRobert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
