Location: PooleSalary: Up to £30kJob Type: PermanentHours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm | 40 hours per weekWe’re recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a busy finance team based in Poole.This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of customer accounts, manage outstanding payments and help keep cash flow running smoothly, while building good relationships with customers and internal teams.What you’ll be doing:Acting as a key point of contact for customer account and payment queriesManaging customer account reconciliations, portals and EDI integrationsReviewing new and existing accounts, including credit checks, payment history and credit limitsManaging a portfolio of customer accounts and proactively chasing outstanding debtPrioritising high-value accounts and invoices to minimise bad debt and riskResolving invoice and payment queries quickly and efficientlyPreparing and sending customer statements and overdue payment remindersProducing weekly and ad hoc credit, account and reporting informationProactively managing new accounts and high-value invoicesBuilding positive working relationships with customers and internal teamsPreparing consolidated month-end invoicesEscalating any significant credit or account issues when requiredWhat we’re looking for:Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance roleGood attention to detail and confidence working with figuresSomeone who is comfortable having conversations around outstanding paymentsStrong communication and relationship-building skillsGood organisation and the ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritiesA proactive approach to resolving queries and collecting outstanding debtConfidence using finance systems and Microsoft OfficeIf you’re looking for a permanent Credit Control role where you can take ownership of your own workload and be part of a busy finance team, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today to find out more.
