Credit ControllerLondon | 5 Days Office Based | Growing Alternative Finance LenderMy client is a well-established and growing alternative finance lender providing funding solutions to SMEs and businesses across the UK.Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious lender with a strong presence in the market and plenty of scope to develop within the business.The RoleAs Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received in line with agreed terms and dealing with any overdue balances in a professional and proactive manner.Key responsibilities will include:Managing and monitoring a portfolio of customer accountsChasing outstanding and overdue payments by telephone and emailBuilding strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersResolving payment queries and account discrepanciesAgreeing payment plans where appropriateMaintaining accurate records of all collections activityIdentifying potential issues or higher-risk accounts at an early stageWorking closely with Credit, Underwriting and wider operational teamsSupporting month-end reporting and aged debt reviewsThe CandidateThe successful candidate must have 3–5 years’ previous Credit Control experience.You will also ideally have:A strong track record within Credit Control / CollectionsConfident telephone and communication skillsExperience managing your own portfolio of accountsStrong organisation and attention to detailA proactive and commercially minded approachThe ability to build relationships while remaining confident when chasing outstanding paymentsExperience within financial services, lending or commercial finance would be advantageous but is not essential.The OpportunityThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing alternative lender with an experienced team and strong ambitions for continued expansion.Please note this role is 5 days per week office based.Competitive salary and benefits available depending on experience.
