Credit Controller

Integra Talent Group are excited to be partnering with a global retail organisation based in Manchester city centre who are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their growing finance team.You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are collected on time, resolving invoice queries, maintaining accurate customer account information and reducing the risk of bad debt.Salary: £30,000 - £34,000 + quarterly bonusKey Responsibilities of the Credit Controller position will include:Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices, proactively following up with clients to reduce debtor days.Chase overdue payments via phone and email.Resolving any payment issues or disputes effectively.Reconciling accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate records of payment and outstanding balances.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing queries or concerns related to invoices or credit terms in a professional manner.Conduct credit checks for new and existing clients, assess creditworthiness, and recommend credit limits.Prepare regular reports on aged debt, collections progress, and credit risk exposure, providing insights to senior management.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any credit related discrepancies.Key Skills & Experience Required:Previous experience in a Credit Control position.Strong understanding of debt collection and account reconciliation.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities.Proficient in using financial software.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, commercially minded individual who enjoys working with customers, managing targets and taking ownership of the credit control process.If you’re an experienced Credit Controller looking for their next role, we’d love to hear from you.
