Credit Manager

Job Overview:Search Solution Group is seeking a Credit Manager on behalf of our client, a leading Building Materials company. The Credit Manager will oversee credit and accounts receivable operations, lead collection efforts, manage credit risk, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. This role will partner closely with internal teams and external customers to support strong cash flow and effective credit management.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee credit management and accounts receivable operations.Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounts receivable collection professionals.Establish and maintain effective credit policies and procedures.Evaluate customer creditworthiness and monitor credit risk.Oversee collection activities and develop strategies to improve receivables performance.Manage construction lien processes and ensure compliance with applicable state regulations.Partner with internal departments and customers to resolve credit and collection issues.Analyze accounts receivable data, aging reports, and credit trends to identify risks and opportunities.Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Utilize accounting and ERP systems to monitor credit and receivables activity.Provide reporting and recommendations to leadership regarding credit risk and collections.Requirements include:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field required.Experience:5+ years of experience in credit management and accounts receivable, preferably within the construction or building materials industry.4+ years of experience leading an accounts receivable or collections team.Skills:Strong credit risk assessment and analytical skills.Excellent leadership and team management abilities.Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Certifications:No specific certification required.Knowledge:Strong understanding of credit management and accounts receivable processes.Knowledge of construction lien processes and regulations across multiple states.Experience with accounting and ERP systems, including Microsoft Dynamics and Epicor.Understanding of regulatory compliance and credit policies.Key Competencies:Leadership and team developmentCredit risk analysisProblem-solving and decision-makingCommunication and negotiationOrganizational and time management skillsAttention to detailRegulatory complianceStrategic thinkingAbility to work independently and collaborativelyHow to Apply:To apply for this position, please click the "Apply" button at the top right of your screen.
