Apply & track with Apply EdgeEden Rose is currently engaged with a financial institution based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) who are seeking a Credit Risk Manager to join their risk team.Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, as a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of institutional counterparties; measuring and monitoring exposures; and providing well-supported recommendations that contribute to sound credit decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive credit assessments on new and existing counterparties.Perform financial strength assessments using audited financial statements plus other relevant information, identifying key financial risks, trends and indicators of creditworthiness.Analyse financial information and make recommendations on the suitability of counterpartiesDevelop technical methodologies of industry and regulatory standards to measure credit exposure inherent in above mentioned traded products and assess collateral qualityMonitor current and future counterparty exposuresCalculate and monitor credit exposures arising from derivatives, margin and leveraged trading products; and develop industry standard stress tests and firm-specific stress testsRecommend appropriate counterparty credit limits based on financial analysis and internal credit policiesConduct stress testing to assess the resilience of counterparties under a range of market and financial scenariosPrepare detailed credit papers and present recommendations to the CRO for approvalSupport regulatory reporting requirements relating to counterparty credit exposure.Work closely with stakeholders across Risk, Finance and the business to support effective credit decision-makingThe Credit Risk Manager will have experience in Credit Analysis, Counterparty Credit, Credit Approval or a similar function within an investment bank/capital markets business/FinTech, brokerage firm or similar. You will have experience of assessing counterparties and credit exposure across one of Contracts for Difference (CFDs) Derivatives, Equity Listed Options, Margin Lending and Margin Trading, Fixed Income, Equities. You will have experience in supporting credit decisions, monitoring counterparty exposures, and providing recommendations across these products will be highly advantageous.This is an excellent opportunity with a growing DIFC Financial Institution.
