Job Title: Credit & Risk Manager

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate the creditworthiness and financial strength of new and existing commercial customersAnalyze financial statements, cash flow, credit reports, payment history, project backlog, and contractual obligationsEstablish and monitor credit limits, payment terms, collateral requirements, and risk ratingsManage the commercial credit portfolio and identify emerging risks and areas of exposureMonitor accounts receivable aging, payment trends, and customer concentration riskReview construction-related considerations, including project financing, bonding, retainage, liens, and contractor riskDevelop and maintain credit policies, approval thresholds, internal controls, and risk-management proceduresPartner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Contracts, Sales, and OperationsPrepare credit-risk reporting and portfolio analysis for senior leadershipSupport collection strategies and escalated high-risk accounts

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in commercial credit, construction finance, risk management, or a related disciplineBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related fieldStrong financial statement, cash-flow, and credit-risk analysis experienceKnowledge of accounts receivable, collections, and portfolio-risk managementAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsStrong analytical, decision-making, and communication abilities

Preferred Experience

Construction industry experience is strongly preferredFamiliarity with construction contracts, bonding, retainage, liens, and project financingGovernment contracting experience is a plus, particularly supporting U.S. federal government or defense-related workCFA, FRM, CRC, CBA, or a related professional certification is a plus
