Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for a Credit Risk Manager to support the development and enhancement of the company’s credit risk framework, portfolio monitoring, and risk analytics. The role will have a particular focus on SME credit portfolios, ensuring effective assessment of credit quality, portfolio performance, provisioning, and emerging risk trends.The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in credit risk, IFRS 9, Expected Credit Loss (ECL), and financial analysis, with exposure to banking, lending, FinTech, or financial risk advisory environments.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and assess credit portfolio performance across SME, corporate, and retail exposures.Review and assess IFRS 9 and ECL methodologies, including PD, LGD, EAD, staging criteria, macroeconomic factors, and management overlays.Analyze portfolio quality, delinquency, aging, concentration, provisioning, and risk classification.Identify emerging credit risks, portfolio deterioration trends, and areas requiring management attention.Perform financial statement and credit risk analysis to assess borrowers’ financial position and repayment capacity.Support the development and enhancement of credit risk models, scorecards, policies, and portfolio monitoring tools.Review controls related to credit approval, disbursement, monitoring, and provisioning processes.Support stress testing, portfolio segmentation, and credit risk assessments where required.Prepare regular credit risk reports, analysis, and recommendations for senior management and relevant committees.Work closely with Finance, Credit, Collections, Data, Compliance, and Business teams on credit risk-related initiatives.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Credit Risk, Banking, Financial Services, Risk Advisory, or Audit.Strong knowledge of IFRS 9, ECL, PD, LGD, EAD, provisioning, and credit portfolio analysis.Previous experience or strong exposure to SME credit portfolios is required.Strong financial statement analysis and credit risk assessment capabilities.Experience in banks, FinTech companies, lending institutions, or Big Four firms is preferred.Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or FRM are an advantage.Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Fluency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
