Team members are part of a mission-focused organization that values quality, community engagement, and strong franchise partnerships.Role Description The Crew Member role is a full-time, on-site position located in Birmingham, AL. Crew Members prepare and assemble Firehouse Subs menu items, including slicing and portioning ingredients, building sandwiches to specification, and ensuring food quality, freshness, and presentation standards. They operate kitchen equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized dining and prep area, restock supplies, and follow food safety and sanitation procedures. Crew Members provide friendly, efficient guest service by taking orders, processing payments, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally. The role also involves working as part of a team to meet shift goals, follow company policies, and support community-focused initiatives as needed.Qualifications Ability to deliver excellent customer service, including clear communication, a friendly demeanor, and a professional attitude with guests and team members.Basic food preparation and safety skills, including following recipes, handling ingredients properly, and maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards.Strong teamwork and reliability, with the ability to collaborate, follow direction, and support coworkers in a fast-paced environment.Solid time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks, such as preparing orders, stocking, and cleaning, during busy shifts.Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move supplies as needed, and work in a restaurant environment that may require occasional bending and reaching.Basic math and cash-handling skills for taking orders, operating the POS system, and processing payments accurately.Prior experience in food service, retail, or customer-facing roles is helpful but not required; training will be provided.Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
