Job SummaryHomeland Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading healthcare organization in Knoxville, Tennessee, to identify an experienced Critical Care Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for a 30-bed, high-acuity Critical Care Unit. The Critical Care Nurse Manager will oversee approximately 93 employees and is responsible for maintaining high-quality patient care, staff development, and effective unit operations. The ideal Critical Care Nurse Manager will have 3–5+ years of recent critical care management experience and a strong background leading teams in an ICU, CCU, or CVICU environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of critical care services, including planned CVICU and Trauma expansion. ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical, operational, and administrative leadership for a high-acuity Critical Care UnitLead, develop, coach, and evaluate nursing and support staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high-quality patient careOversee staffing, scheduling, workforce allocation, and productivity to ensure appropriate coverage across the departmentSupport recruitment, retention, professional development, and employee engagement initiativesDevelop and manage departmental budgets and ensure operations remain aligned with established financial parametersMonitor clinical, operational, quality, and regulatory performance and implement improvement initiatives when neededEstablish departmental goals and objectives aligned with broader hospital and health-system prioritiesPartner closely with physicians, nursing leadership, ancillary departments, and other disciplines to ensure timely, efficient, and effective patient carePromote evidence-based practices and maintain a safe environment for patients and staffSupport the continued development and expansion of critical care services, including CVICU and future Trauma capabilitiesMaintain accountability for nursing standards, documentation, regulatory requirements, patient outcomes, and overall unit performanceRequirementsGraduate of an accredited nursing programActive Registered Nurse license or ability to obtain appropriate Tennessee RN licensure3–5+ years of recent Critical Care Nurse Management experience requiredDemonstrated leadership experience within an ICU, CCU, CVICU, or similarly complex critical care environmentExperience managing nursing staff and day-to-day operations within a 24/7 patient-care environmentStrong knowledge of critical care nursing operations, staffing, quality, patient safety, and performance managementDemonstrated ability to develop teams, improve performance, and collaborate effectively with physicians and senior nursing leadershipPreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Nursing or a related fieldCVICU nursing leadership experienceTrauma or Trauma Center leadership experienceExperience leading a large critical care department or similarly sized nursing teamDemonstrated success improving staffing, retention, productivity, quality, or other operational outcomes within critical careAdditional InformationHours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. BenefitsThis position offers a competitive salary of $115,000-$125,000, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
