MediVaah functions as a growing community focused on making healthcare more accessible, reliable, and patient-centered, with digital tools such as mobile apps to expand reach and impact.Role Description The Critical Care Physician at MediVaah is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. The physician will provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex medical conditions in intensive and high-dependency settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing clinical examinations, ordering and interpreting investigations, leading treatment plans, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams such as nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists. The role involves close monitoring of patients, responding to emergencies, performing or supervising procedures as per scope of practice, and ensuring adherence to evidence-based guidelines and hospital protocols. The physician will also communicate clearly with patients’ families, participate in clinical documentation, support quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement in critical care services.Qualifications Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and completed postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Anaesthesia, or related specialty, with appropriate registration from relevant medical councils.Demonstrated clinical expertise in managing critically ill patients, including ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, emergency interventions, and intensive care protocols.Strong skills in clinical decision-making, diagnostic reasoning, and evidence-based treatment planning in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.Effective communication and collaboration abilities, including working within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with patients and families in a respectful, empathetic manner.Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to regulatory standards and institutional policies.Experience with electronic medical records and comfort with technology-enabled healthcare platforms; openness to using digital tools and applications in daily practice.Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, case discussions, and clinical audits; prior experience in teaching or mentoring junior clinicians is an advantage.Previous work in critical care units or tertiary care hospitals is preferred; familiarity with the healthcare landscape in India and local health regulations is beneficial.
