Croke Collections & Credit Manager

I'm working with a growing Chicago law firm with over 150 professionals that is looking to bring on an experienced Collections & Credit Manager.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the collections process, working closely with attorneys and firm leadership, and helping improve financial operations as the firm continues to grow.What You'll Be DoingManage the firm's accounts receivable and collections process, including aged balances, payment arrangements, and client follow-ups.Evaluate prospective clients' creditworthiness and recommend appropriate payment terms or retainer arrangements.Work directly with attorneys, billing teams, and finance leadership to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining strong client relationships.Prepare collections reports, analyze payment trends, and identify opportunities to improve cash flow.Help develop and improve collections procedures, credit evaluation standards, and financial controls.What We're Looking For5–8 years of collections or accounts receivable experience, including at least 4 years in a law firm or professional services environment.Experience evaluating client credit risk and recommending payment terms.Strong understanding of legal billing systems, financial reporting, and Microsoft Excel.Experience with collections technology, Dun & Bradstreet, or similar platforms.Why Consider This Opportunity?$90,000–$120,000 base salary plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.Hybrid working arrangement in downtown Chicago.Join a growing firm with over 150 professionals.Take ownership of a key function and help shape processes as the firm continues to expand.Benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, and flexible paid time off.If you're experienced in legal collections and looking for an opportunity to have a meaningful impact within a growing firm, I'd welcome a conversation.Interested in learning more?
