Split by inforlab supports remote work and modern tools, enabling professionals to contribute from diverse locations while staying closely aligned with strategic objectives.Role Description The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and leading the organization’s overall security strategy. This role oversees information security, cybersecurity risk management, and compliance programs across products, infrastructure, and business operations. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating security policies, monitoring security posture, coordinating incident response, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to embed secure-by-design practices. The CSO will regularly conduct risk assessments, manage security audits, and provide executive-level reporting on threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation plans. The role also includes building and mentoring a security team, leading security awareness initiatives, and ensuring alignment with relevant regulations and industry standards.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in information security management, cybersecurity strategy, and risk assessment.Candidates should possess skills in security governance, policy development, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or similar frameworks).Candidates should possess skills in security operations, incident response, and threat monitoring using modern tools and methodologies.Candidates should possess skills in collaborating with engineering and product teams on secure architecture, secure coding practices, and vulnerability management.Candidates should possess executive-level communication and leadership skills, including the ability to present security plans and risk insights to non-technical stakeholders.Extensive experience in a senior security leadership role, preferably as CSO, CISO, or equivalent, in a technology-driven organization.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP) are highly beneficial.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
