Joining the team means contributing to long-term security and resilience across diverse technology environments.Role Description The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for defining and executing the organization’s overall security strategy. The CSO oversees information security, cybersecurity operations, risk management, and compliance programs, ensuring that policies, processes, and controls effectively protect company and client assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading security governance initiatives, assessing and mitigating risks, supervising incident response, and coordinating vulnerability management across infrastructure and applications. The CSO collaborates closely with executive leadership, engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate security into architecture, development lifecycles, and business decisions. The role also involves monitoring emerging threats, managing security vendors and tools, communicating security posture to stakeholders, and driving security awareness and training across the organization.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong expertise in information security strategy, cybersecurity frameworks, and risk management practices.Candidates should possess skills in security operations, incident response, and vulnerability assessment across cloud and on-premise environments.Candidates should possess knowledge of regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA or similar, depending on business needs).Candidates should possess the ability to design and implement security architectures, policies, and controls in partnership with technical teams.Candidates should possess excellent leadership, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a focus on practical risk reduction.Relevant experience in senior security leadership roles, ideally in technology-driven or SaaS organizations, is highly beneficial.Advanced education in computer science, information security, or a related field, and/or professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP) are preferred.Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing distributed teams, and using modern collaboration tools.
