PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING: MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE: lithium-ion battery technologies; battery systems, and emerging energy storage technologies.MUST SPEAK: MandarinRole Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for setting and executing the company’s overall technology vision and strategy. This role oversees the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions that support consulting services, internal operations, and long-term growth. The CTO leads and mentors Global technical teams, manages technology projects and budgets, and ensures systems and infrastructure are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with senior leadership on digital transformation initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies, optimizing architecture and platforms, and guiding product development for technology-enabled service offerings. The CTO also establishes best practices, governance, and performance metrics to ensure technology initiatives deliver consistent value to clients and the organization.QualificationsStrong background in Software Development and Product Development, with experience delivering secure, scalable solutions.Proven expertise in IT Strategy and Technology Architecture to align systems and platforms with business objectives.Develop, execute, and continuously refine the Company’s technology strategy, research roadmap, and innovation initiatives in alignment with corporate objectives, market opportunities, and customer requirements.Lead all research and development activities related to advanced lithium-ion battery technologies, including next-generation chemistries, high-performance cells, battery systems, and emerging energy storage technologies.Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.Experience leading technology teams, fostering collaboration, and building a high-performance engineering culture.Direct the design, engineering, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of battery cells, battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), and integrated energy storage solutions for:Commercial vehicle (CV) applicationsPassenger vehicle (PV) applicationsEnergy storage systems (ESS)Specialty and industrial applicationsNovel and next-generation battery platformsKnowledge of enterprise systems, cloud technologies, cybersecurity best practices, and data management.Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.Track record of driving digital transformation or technology modernization initiatives, preferably in professional services or consulting environments.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a focus on measurable outcomes.Commitment to ethical leadership, inclusive collaboration, and continuous learning in a fast-changing technology landscape.EducationAdvanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline is strongly preferred.Ph.D. preferred;Master’s degree with significant industry leadership experience acceptableExperienceMinimum of 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in battery technology, energy storage, electric vehicle systems, advanced materials, or related industries.Minimum of 5–10 years of executive or senior technical leadership experience managing research and development teams, engineering organizations, or technology commercialization programs.Proven experience leading the development and commercialization of lithium-ion battery technologies, including battery cells, battery packs, battery management systems (BMS), and energy storage applications.MUST SPEAK: Mandarin
