CTO/CPO / Chief Technology Officer / Head of Engineering & Product

Our client is a fast-growing, specialist fintech organisation that helps global businesses.We are working with this business, on a confidential basis, to find their next Chief Technology Officer.This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership role working closely alongside the board, spanning both technology and product. You will not just be setting architecture and engineering direction, you will be shaping the roadmap, features and user experience directly with clients and stakeholders, staying close to business outcomes rather than sitting purely in an operational or delivery remit. You will represent the business in front of the board, clients and investors as comfortably as you lead the engineering team. You will inherit a modern, production-grade stack (Vue 3/Nuxt, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and a multi-database layer spanning MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis) and an established engineering team, working closely with the wider product organisation. You will shape the architecture, elevate engineering practice, and directly influence how their platform evolves through its next phase of growth.We are looking for someone with a genuine startup and scale-up mentality, who understands that product drives engineering rather than the other way around, and who is as comfortable in front of the board, clients and investors as they are with their own engineering team. Ideally you will have:A genuine startup and scale-up mentality, comfortable without the safety net of a large institution behind youA clear view that product drives engineering, not the other way around, with a track record of owning both together and shaping features, UX and roadmap directly with clients and stakeholders rather than sitting purely in a delivery or infrastructure functionThe presence and credibility to stand in front of the board, clients and investors, not just the engineering teamA track record of leading multi-region, cross-cultural engineering teams and working directly with enterprise clients and stakeholdersGenuine, hands-on exposure to modern AI/agentic engineering approaches, ideally through direct product or advisory work rather than side projectsEarlier founder or CTO-level experience building and scaling a technology business from the ground upMandarin language skills (essential given the regional stakeholder footprint)If you are excited by the idea of taking on full CTO/CPO-level responsibility within a market-leading, high-growth organisation in Asia, we would like to hear from you.To discuss this opportunity in confidence, message me directly or send your CV.
