Curriculum Facilitator

Job summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate facilitator to deliver our Mental Health Skill-Building Program for children. This role is open to both mental health professionals (e.g., LMHCs, social workers, or graduate-level clinicians) and experienced educators or facilitators with a background in youth development. The facilitator will lead engaging, structured sessions that build emotional intelligence, resilience, and social-emotional skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in facilitating discussions, and supporting youth development in an educational, mental health, or community-based setting. This role works collaboratively with the Program Director and broader team to ensure sessions are impactful, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with The CHAT Lab’s mission of fostering emotionally resilient and empathetic youth. Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitate mental health skill-building sessions using a structured, evidenced based curriculum. Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for participants. Encourage discussion and active participation while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Support students in understanding and applying skills related to emotional regulation, thought management, and social problem-solving. Assist with classroom management and address students' needs during sessions. Monitor participant engagement and provide feedback to the Program Director. Help collect data on program effectiveness, including attendance and participant progress. Assist with session preparation, materials, and logistics (set-up and clean-up as needed).  Collaborate with The CHAT Lab staff to ensure fidelity to the curriculum while allowing for responsive facilitation. Attend training sessions and team meetings as required.  Minimum qualifications:  Experience working with children or adolescents in school, afterschool, clinical, or community settings One of the following:  Bachelor’s degree + 3–5 years of experience in education, youth development, or group facilitation Graduate-level training or degree in mental health field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy) Desired qualifications: Mental Health Candidates: Licensed or license-eligible (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) or currently in a graduate program Experience applying cognitive behavioral or social-emotional frameworks with youth For Education/Facilitation Candidates: Experience teaching, leading groups, or facilitating discussions with children or teens Strong classroom management and engagement skills For All Candidates: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Comfort discussing mental health topics in a developmentally appropriate and sensitive manner Ability to follow a structured curriculum while adapting to participant needs Passion for prevention, early intervention, and youth mental health Alignment with The CHAT Lab’s mission of building emotional intelligence, resilience, and empathy in children Passion for mental health advocacy and improving the lives of children through education. Job category: OPS – Other Personal Services Employee can also be part time role
