Apply & track with Apply EdgeSmith Tait is looking for a Client Account Manager to join our team in Dubai.The primary purpose of this role is to maintain, strengthen and develop Smith Tait’s existing client relationships. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring our clients feel valued, informed and supported throughout and beyond individual projects.The role will focus on client retention, repeat business and identifying future opportunities within existing accounts. The Client Account Manager will also support the wider business development team by following up on enquiries, coordinating meetings, assisting with proposals and maintaining accurate client and opportunity records.Key responsibilitiesManage and maintain relationships with Smith Tait’s existing clients and key accounts.Act as a consistent commercial point of contact for assigned clients.Maintain regular communication with clients during active projects and between appointments.Understand each client’s organisation, project pipeline, priorities and preferred ways of working.Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across each client account.Arrange regular client meetings, project follow-ups and account reviews.Monitor client satisfaction and identify potential concerns at an early stage.Coordinate with Smith Tait’s internal teams to ensure client enquiries and agreed actions are followed up.Identify opportunities for repeat appointments and additional consultancy services.Re-engage previous or inactive clients.Encourage clients to involve Smith Tait at an early stage of future project opportunities.Support the development of long-term client relationships, framework agreements and preferred-consultant appointments.Assist with new enquiries, introductions, referrals and prospective opportunities.Support the preparation and follow-up of fee proposals, expressions of interest, prequalification documents and capability presentations.Gather information about project scope, programme, stakeholders and client expectations.Assist with obtaining purchase orders, letters of appointment and signed contracts.Support invoice and payment follow-up while maintaining a professional client relationship.Maintain accurate client, contact and opportunity information within the company’s CRM and tracking systems.Prepare regular updates on account activity, future opportunities, client feedback and required follow-ups.Attend client meetings, networking events, exhibitions and industry functions when required.Skills and experiencePrevious experience in client account management, customer success, business development or professional services.Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.A client-focused and service-oriented approach.Excellent written and verbal communication.Strong organisation, administration and follow-up skills.Confidence communicating with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.Ability to manage multiple client accounts, priorities and deadlines.Strong internal coordination and problem-solving skills.Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities through client conversations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM or opportunity-tracking systems.Fluent written and spoken English.UAE driving licence and willingness to attend client meetings and industry events.Experience within architectural lighting, architecture, interior design, engineering, construction, real estate or another professional consultancy would be advantageous. Existing relationships and knowledge of the UAE and Saudi Arabian design and construction markets would also be beneficial.About youYou will be warm, approachable and naturally good at building long-term relationships. You should be proactive in communicating with clients, disciplined with follow-ups and comfortable taking ownership of assigned accounts.You will need to be commercially aware without being overly sales-driven.
