We might be looking for you.Craft & Soul is a creative community space in Manly where people come to learn, make, connect and have a really lovely time. We're looking for a high-energy, people-loving, seriously organised and tech-savvy person to join our team and help keep the whole place running beautifully.This is a hands-on role. You'll be out front chatting to customers, helping people find what they need and making sure the shop feels fantastic — while also keeping on top of the systems, stock, operations and little details that make everything work behind the scenes. And yes, being crafty is a bonus. But you won't be crafting during your shift! Your job is to make sure everyone else has an amazing experience.What you'll be doing1. Customers & communityWelcome customers and make everyone feel genuinely comfortableChat with customers, understand what they're looking for and help them find the right products or workshopsCreate a warm, energetic and welcoming atmosphereHelp customers with bookings, purchases and general questionsSupport workshops and events, including set-up and pack-downBuild relationships with our regular customers and creative community2. Operations & systemsKeep the shop running smoothly day-to-dayManage opening and closing proceduresKeep stock organised and spot when things need attentionMaintain and improve checklists, processes and operational systemsHelp with stock ordering and inventory managementIdentify things that aren't working and figure out how to improve themTake ownership of operational projects rather than waiting to be told what to doHelp us turn messy or manual processes into simple, repeatable systemsWe'd love someone who sees a repetitive task and thinks:"How could we make this easier?"3. Technology, AI & getting things doneWe're a small, growing business and we want to work smarter, not just harder.We're looking for someone who is comfortable with technology and genuinely curious about how it can improve the way we work.You might already be comfortable with:Google Sheets / ExcelCanvaAI tools such as ChatGPTGoogle WorkspaceCreating trackers, templates and simple systemsFinding clever solutions to problemsAutomating repetitive tasksYou don't need to be a programmer or an AI expert.We're much more interested in someone who is curious and resourceful — the kind of person who will happily spend 20 minutes figuring out how to make a process better rather than doing the same annoying task every week forever.4. Keeping the space beautifulThis is important!Craft & Soul is a physical space and keeping it clean, organised and beautiful is a huge part of the customer experience.You'll be expected to:Keep the shop tidy throughout the dayClean and reset customer areasKeep displays looking greatOrganise stock and suppliesNotice the little things that need doingLeave the space better than you found itIf you genuinely enjoy tidying and organising, you'll probably love this job.The person we're looking for is...A people person.You naturally enjoy talking to people and making them feel welcome.
