JOB SUMMARYThe Customer Loyalty Analyst supports the growth, optimization, and measurement of Stater Bros. Markets’ loyalty program by transforming customer, transaction, promotion, offer, and digital engagement data into actionable insights. This role analyzes data across disparate systems, including loyalty engines, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Power BI, POS, and eCommerce platforms—to improve retention, trip frequency, basket size, offer relevance, overall program ROI, and campaign effectiveness.The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented, and business-minded analyst who can connect data across systems, identify trends, translate findings into clear recommendations, and partner cross-functionally with internal teams, leadership, and external vendor partners to support a cohesive, customer-first loyalty experience.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze loyalty, customer, transaction, promotion, and digital engagement data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks that impact retention, trip frequency, basket size, and overall profitabilityConnect and synthesize data across disparate systems, including loyalty platforms (Eagle Eye), CDPs (Birdzi), Power BI, POS, and eCommerce channels, to evaluate program effectiveness and campaign performanceDevelop dashboards, scorecards, recurring reports, and ad hoc analyses that clearly communicate loyalty program performance, customer segments, offer effectiveness, enrollment trends, redemption activity, campaign results, and business impactPartner with cross-functional teams and external vendor partners, including Integrated Marketing, Digital Commerce, Merchandising, IT, Retail Operations, Customer Care, and leadership, to define reporting needs, validate data, and deliver insights that support business decisionsSupport customer segmentation, targeting test-and-learn strategies, offer optimization, and personalized marketing initiatives by analyzing past behavior, purchase patterns, category engagement, channel activity, and campaign responseMeasure pre- and post-campaign performance, including lift, redemption, engagement, traffic, basket-building impact, retention indicators, and return on investment (ROI), recommending improvements for future campaignsIdentify data gaps, inconsistencies, duplicate records, integration issues, or reporting limitations to continuously improve data quality, usability, and confidence across disparate systemsTranslate complex data findings into concise, actionable insights, presentations, and strategic recommendations for key stakeholders and leadershipMaintain confidentiality of customer, vendor, financial, and company information while supporting privacy, legal, policy, and customer experience standardsPerform other duties and assignments as needed to support business priorities, loyalty program execution, and operational requirementsREQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field required; equivalent, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education2+ years of experience in loyalty analytics, customer insights, marketing/retail analytics, or a related analytical role; experience with grocery/retail loyalty programs strongly preferredStrong analytical, mathematical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify patterns, explain business drivers, and recommend practical actionsProficiency with Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint; experience building or maintaining dashboards in Power BI or similar business insights toolsFamiliarity with loyalty management engines and Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), such as Eagle Eye, Birdzi, or similar platforms, along with experience analyzing POS data and digital marketing analytics highly preferredExposure to SQL, data modeling, data governance, data quality processes, or enterprise reporting environments a plusUnderstanding of loyalty principles, customer segmentation, A/B testing / test-and-learn methodologies, campaign lift/ROI measurement, and personalized marketingStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings clearly to cross-functional partners and leadershipHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring reporting needs, and ad hoc requests within tight timelinesAbility to interact effectively and professionally with internal business units, leadership, and external vendor partners at all levelsAdditional Information:Applications will be received until a sufficient number of applications are received.
