This role is full in-office in Houston, TX 77057Client Relationship Management Consultant Our client is a Houston-based management consulting firm focused on clarity, helping organizations define who they are and navigate times of change and transition. The team brings together social scientists (organizational anthropologists and psychologists), artists, consultants, and business leaders who use proprietary research methodologies, workshops, interventions, and creative tools to define, shape, and sustain cultures that improve efficiency, drive performance, and cultivate growth.Founded roughly 20 years ago, the firm of approximately 35 people has grown from an advertising agency into an integrated practice spanning strategy, communications, culture, and experiences and spaces, and is now launching a dedicated sports practice. Its clients range from high-profile nonprofits and universities to publicly traded and international companies. What Makes This Firm DifferentWhere competitors deliver pieces, whether strategy or culture or spaces, this firm delivers all of it, integrated, and stays to help implement. The result is a holistic, white-glove partnership defined by the quality of the deliverable, the depth of the relationship, and the comprehensiveness of the work. Every engagement begins with research, and nearly half the firm is graphic designers, so everything ships with a bespoke, designed look.Practice AreasStrategy: Long-range strategic planning, business-model innovation, and cascading vision into measurable action.Culture: Diagnostics, workshops, values and behaviors, and change management.Communications: Campaigns, brand, PR, and internal communications.Experiences and Spaces: Environmental and experiential design that brings culture and strategy to life physically.Design and Creative: A bespoke designed look across every deliverable, led by a roughly half-designer team.Sports Practice: A dedicated, growing practice built around culture redefinition and facility transformation for teams and programs. The RolePosition OverviewThe Consultant, Client Management plays a central role in the firm's delivery of solutions to clients. Developing a specialization in a specific subject-matter area or industry vertical, the Consultant leads client teams in planning and executing project deliverables. Working directly with clients at multiple levels, the Consultant assesses current-state processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and guides the change-management process, owning client relationships and driving performance improvement alongside the delivery of the firm's tools and services.Client and account management is the highest-weighted part of this role: coordinating across internal teams, ensuring creative work is delivered, engaging the research team, and managing client expectations and scope. Workshop facilitation and research carry less weight here, as dedicated facilitators and a research team support that work. The Consultant is expected to lead engagements almost immediately, arriving already fluent in client, relationship, time, and project management, with the main learning curve being how the firm operates.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, manage, and execute client projects spanning research, organizational development, engagement strategy, talent management, and leadership development and coaching.Design, develop, implement, and evaluate research, strategy, talent-management, and performance-management interventions.Enhance performance-management tools and processes, including ongoing process improvement and effective integration into client delivery.Understand client needs and manage expectations, scope, and deliverables to completion, communicating clearly with clients and internal teams.Anticipate client needs and make proactive recommendations, including identifying opportunities to expand work within existing clients.Develop and deliver reports and presentations, including research deliverables, new-business and keynote presentations, and readouts on the impact of interventions.Coach and mentor Analysts and Associates.
