In this role, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefits, maintaining accurate patient information, and providing professional support to patients and internal healthcare teams.The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare customer service, insurance verification, patient registration, medical billing, or healthcare administration and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.What You'll DoVerify patient insurance eligibility and benefits using payer portals, phone calls, and verification tools.Review insurance coverage and accurately document copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.Update patient demographic and insurance information in EHR and internal healthcare systems.Communicate with patients by phone to clarify insurance coverage and answer basic questions.Research and resolve discrepancies in patient or insurance information.Coordinate with clinical, billing, and authorization teams regarding eligibility and coverage.Document verification results accurately and maintain complete records.Escalate complex insurance or eligibility issues when necessary.Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements.Meet daily productivity, quality, attendance, and schedule-adherence goals.What We're Looking For1–2 years of experience in healthcare, preferably in:Healthcare Call CenterInsurance VerificationPatient RegistrationMedical BillingHealthcare AdministrationKnowledge of healthcare insurance terminology such as copay, deductible, coinsurance, HMO, PPO, subscriber, Medicare, and Medicaid.Basic understanding of Medicare and Medicaid.Experience using EHR systems, payer portals, or healthcare databases.Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume environment.Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.Must successfully pass a criminal background check.Preferred ExperienceHealthcare call center experienceInsurance eligibility and benefits verificationExperience with major health insurance payersPayer portal experienceMedical billing or patient registrationEHR experienceExperience working with productivity and quality metricsWork ScheduleMonday–Friday | 11:00 AM–7:30 PM ESTWork Setup: RemoteWhy This Opportunity?Join a healthcare-focused team where your customer service and insurance knowledge will directly support patients and healthcare operations.
