Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Sydney, we're expanding our US operations and looking for an experienced Team Leader to build, recruit and run our US customer service and sales team.The roleYou'll build this team from the ground up — recruiting and training consultants, then managing their day-to-day performance across inbound and outbound activity. This is a hands-on selling role as much as a leadership one: you'll carry your own sales responsibility on high-value client relationships and premium hospitality packages, while setting the standard for the team to follow. You'll be accountable for team output and quality of service, with the credibility that comes from closing business yourself.What you'll doSell directly — manage high-value client relationships and close premium travel and hospitality packages personallyRecruit, hire and train a customer service and sales team from scratchManage day-to-day inbound and outbound activity, including workflow, targets and quality standardsCoach and develop team members, handling performance conversations directlyOwn escalations and step in on client relationships when neededAdapt processes and approach as the US operation grows and changes — this is a new market for us, and no two weeks look the sameWhat we're looking forProven team leader or manager experience, ideally 5+ years, with real accountability for people and performanceA genuine sales background — comfortable carrying and hitting personal targets, not just overseeing others'Background in either travel or sports sales — real industry knowledge, not a generalist customer service historyA mature, steady leadership style — comfortable setting standards and having direct conversations with your teamHighly adaptable — able to build process where none exists yet, and comfortable with ambiguity in a growing operationConfidence managing both inbound and outbound customer contact channelsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $100,000 USD, based on experience including commissionHealth, dental and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and public holidaysRemote-flexible roleHow to apply: Please ensure your application includes a cover letter outlining why you're interested in this role and any relevant information supporting your application.
