You will clear imports and exports, reduce duty costs, and manage the risk that comes with changing trade legislation. Internal teams will come to you when they need to know what a regulatory change means for them.We run about 530 U.S. and Canada customs operations a month, with heavy cross border flows from Mexico. When tariffs move, we feel it quickly.Essential FunctionsRegulatory Compliance: Oversee CBP requirements, the Reasonable Care Program, and bonds.USMCA Leadership: Run impact analysis on regulatory changes. Lead U.S. origin campaigns and supplier solicitation.Broker Management: Manage customs brokers, track KPIs, and handle invoicing processes.Digital Portals: Work directly in ACE reporting and ACH accounts, plus Canada's CARM portal. You will be in these systems yourself, not delegating them.Volume Support: Provide daily operational follow up for roughly 530 monthly U.S. and Canada operations.Internal Advisory: Guide plants, finance, and sourcing teams on foreign trade rules.Technical SkillsExperience: 5+ years in U.S. customs operations and USMCA legislation.Compliance: Solid working knowledge of CBP requirements and Reasonable Care programs.Systems: Hands on experience with ACE (U.S.). CARM (Canada) experience is a strong plus.Trade Rules: Free Trade Agreements, Rules of Origin, and HTSUS classification.Data: Advanced Excel for reporting and duty analysis.Job ProfileEducation: Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Foreign Trade, or a related field.Certifications: CCS, MCS, or LCB is a plus, not a requirement.Mindset: Analytical, comfortable making decisions, service oriented.Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Languages: Fluent English required. Spanish is valued, since you will work closely with our trade team in Monterrey.
