Job Title- Customs Clearance ClerkType - ContractContract Duration - 12 months ExtendableWork Location –DubaiSalary – 5000Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented Customs Clearance Clerk to manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for import and export shipments. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Customs systems, strong knowledge of GCC customs regulations, and the ability to coordinate with freight forwarders, brokers, and government authorities to ensure timely, compliant clearance of goods.Key Responsibilities:Prepare, review, and submit customs declarations and documentation for import/export shipmentsProcess clearance through Dubai Trade, Mirsal 2, or relevant emirate customs portalsClassify goods using HS codes and ensure correct duty/tax calculationsLiaise with customs authorities, ports, free zones, and government agencies (Dubai Customs, Abu Dhabi Customs, DP World, etc.)Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal logistics/warehouse teamsVerify shipping documents: Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, LC documentsEnsure compliance with UAE customs law, free zone regulations, and international trade agreementsHandle customs duty exemptions, temporary import/export permits, and re-export documentationTrack shipment status and resolve clearance delays or discrepanciesMaintain accurate records for audits and regulatory reportingRequirements:2+ years of experience in customs clearance/freight forwarding in the UAEWorking knowledge of Dubai Trade, Mirsal 2, or similar customs platformsUnderstanding of HS Code classification, Incoterms, and GCC customs regulationsStrong knowledge of free zone vs. mainland import/export proceduresValid UAE driving license (preferred, if site visits/port coordination required)Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related fieldFluent English; Arabic and/or Hindi/Urdu a plusStrong attention to detail and ability to work under tight shipment deadlinesSkills:Customs ClearanceImport/Export DocumentationHS Code ClassificationDubai TradeMirsal 2Customs ComplianceFreight ForwardingIncotermsLogistics CoordinationSupply Chain ManagementBill of LadingLetter of Credit (LC)Certificate of OriginGCC Trade RegulationsFree Zone OperationsBonded WarehousingDuty DrawbackShipping DocumentationERP Systems (SAP/Oracle logistics modules)Trade Compliance
