Apply & track with Apply EdgeWorking within our global Supply Chain Management organization, you will take a key role in ensuring that Hisense Europe import and export operations are fully compliant with international trade laws and regulations. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Legal, Tax, Logistics, and Finance to design and implement global customs and trade processes that are both secure and efficient.In return for your strategic mindset and expertise in global trade compliance, you will find a collaborative international environment where your ideas are valued, your growth is supported, and your work directly contributes to Hisense Europe mission of connecting people to the world of sound.More about the role: Develop, implement, and manage Hisense Group’s global customs and trade compliance strategyEnsure all import and export activities comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and security standardsServe as the global point of contact for customs authorities, external service providers, and internal stakeholdersLead and manage CBAM compliance activities in line with EU regulatory requirementsInterpret CBAM legislation, implementing acts, and regulatory guidancePrepare and submit quarterly reports via the EU CBAM Transitional RegistryDevelop readiness plans for the definitive phase, including certificate management and cost impact planningOversee the collection, validation, and management of embedded emissions dataSupport and refine emissions calculation methodologiesPartner with suppliers to improve data quality, completeness, and transparencyLiaise with third-party consultants and verifiers where requiredEmbed CBAM considerations into sourcing and procurement processesMonitor ongoing regulatory developments relating to CBAM and EU climate policyIdentify compliance risks and improvement opportunitiesOversee correct classification of goods, valuation, and origin determination for customs purposesLead and develop the trade compliance team and align closely with regional customs expertsMonitor regulatory changes worldwide, assess trade-related risks, and drive proactive actionsDesign and implement training, audits, and awareness programs to strengthen compliance cultureMore about you: Essential Qualifications Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Logistics,Environmental Science, Sustainability, Legal,Economics, Public Policy, Law, Business, or related fieldIn-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs procedures, and trade agreementsStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and customs/ERP system such as SAPPreferred Qualifications Experience in managing and developing global or regional trade compliance programsStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse functions and regionsKnowledge of English and additional languages is an advantage ( Slovenian,etc)Proactive, collaborative, and able to drive improvement in dynamic environmentsAbout YouWe are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:Experience in CBAM, carbon accounting, sustainability compliance, or trade regulationStrong understanding of greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting principles (GHG Protocol / ISO standards desirable)Experience working with emissions data, supply chain reporting, or product-level environmental dataThe ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory frameworksExperience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and Legal teamsDesirable:Familiarity with EU ETS, LCA, or product carbon footprintingExperience within manufacturing or energy-intensive environmentsKnowledge of customs processes and trade compliance frameworksSustainability or environmental certificationsWhat We OfferOpportunity to work in an international, stable, and innovative environment (Hisense Europe)Career development and growth opportunitiesDynamic work with leading market partnersMotivating compensation packageCollaboration with a highly professional and supportive teamAbout UsHisense Europe, one of the leading global manufacturers of home appliances and consumer electronics.
