Location: Morocco (Casablanca)Reports to: General ManagerEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout UsSpeedaf is an integrated logistics service provider focused on emerging markets including China, Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. In Morocco, we have established a local express and less-than-truckload (LTL) network with multiple distribution centers, service points, and warehouses.We are looking for a professional, detail-oriented, and experienced Customs Manager to lead our customs clearance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage the customs team. This role requires a deep understanding of Moroccan customs regulations and clearance procedures, with the ability to effectively coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams to ensure efficient cargo clearance and business continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesI. Customs Clearance OperationsOversee and manage customs declarations and clearance for all import and export shipments, ensuring smooth customs inspection and releaseReview and prepare all required customs documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, etc.), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistencyCoordinate customs inspections, prepare required documents, and facilitate physical inspections; properly address customs inquiriesTrack shipment clearance status and resolve exceptions (inspections, detentions, delays) promptly to ensure timely closureII. Compliance ManagementEnsure all import/export operations strictly comply with Moroccan customs regulations and international trade agreementsMonitor updates to Moroccan customs policies, regulations, and import/export requirements; assess business impact and adjust procedures accordinglyMaintain the import/export knowledge base; ensure accurate and compliant HS code classification, duty calculation, and drawback/tax refund processingIII. Communication & CoordinationServe as the primary point of contact with customs authorities, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve clearance issues and ensure on-time deliveryProvide professional customs consultation to clients and internal stakeholdersRequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree or above in International Trade, Logistics Management, Customs Affairs, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldExperience:3+ years of experience in customs clearance or customs managementExperience in logistics or freight forwarding industry is preferredProfessional Skills:Holder of a valid Moroccan customs clearing license (Agrément en douane) is preferredFamiliar with Moroccan import/export customs procedures, tariff policies, and regulatory requirementsAble to independently prepare and review customs documentation (contracts, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin)Knowledge of HS code classification, bonded operations, general trade, and drawback/tax refund processesProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and customs declaration systems (BADR system experience is preferred)Language Skills:French: Fluent (working language; must be able to communicate directly with customs authorities)Arabic: Fluent (for communication with local teams and government authorities)English: Business proficiency (for communication with headquarters and international teams)Competencies:Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressureExcellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skillsSensitive to regulatory changes; adaptable and quick to learnWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation package (base salary + performance bonus)Career growth opportunities within a fast-growing international companyA dynamic and multicultural work environmentHands-on experience in building customs operations systemsHow to ApplyPlease send your CV (in French or English) to:yuliang.wang@speedaf.com / amina.faid@speedaf.comEmail subject line: "Application – Customs Manager – [Your Name]"
