Cyber Security Analyst

we are looking for an entry-level Cybersecurity Analyst to support our broader security program, including risk assessment, security tooling, and compliance efforts.Responsibilities:Assist with vulnerability assessments and remediation trackingSupport implementation and maintenance of security controlsHelp conduct security awareness activities and phishing simulationsMonitor for compliance with security policies and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)Assist in incident response documentation and post-incident reviewsResearch emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the organizationCollaborate with IT teams to apply security patches and configuration hardeningContribute to security documentation, reports, and auditsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experienceFoundational knowledge of security principles (CIA triad, defense-in-depth)Basic scripting ability (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) a plusUnderstanding of common frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and willingness to learnExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalPreferred:Security+, or equivalent certificationExperience with vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)Participation in CTFs, security clubs, or personal security projects
