Your new companyThis opportunity is with a leading Defence and Government consultancy supporting a major Federal Government program focused on cyber resilience, security governance and critical national service delivery.As a Cyber Security Governance Analyst, you will join a high-performing cyber security team working on enterprise security assurance, governance and risk activities across a complex operational environment.Your new roleAs the Senior Cyber Security Governance Analyst, you will provide cyber GRC expertise supporting security uplift initiatives, assurance activities and governance reporting.Key responsibilities will include:Contributing to solution design from a cyber security perspectiveReviewing and developing security requirementsDeveloping security documentation and artefacts supporting accreditation activitiesSupporting IRAP assessments and penetration testing coordinationPreparing reports, briefings and communications for executive stakeholdersDeveloping authorisation documentation, security plans and risk management artefactsEngaging with business and technical stakeholders to support security outcomesSupporting operational cyber governance activities during periods of heightened organisational activityWhat you'll need to succeedDemonstrated experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC)Strong knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM)Strong understanding of PSPF and Essential EightExperience developing security documentation such as:System Security Plans (SSP)Security Risk Management Plans (SRMP)Security authorisation documentationSecurity governance reportsStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsExperience supporting security assurance activities including IRAP assessmentsCurrent NV1 Security Clearance (mandatory)5+ years experience in cyber security governance or assurance rolesFederal Government, Defence or national security sector experienceExperience working within regulated or highly secure environmentsWhat you'll get in returnInitial 12-month contractPossible 12-month extensionHigh-profile Federal Government cyber security programOpportunity to work alongside experienced cyber security specialistsLong-term contract potentialCanberra-based engagement
