Apply & track with Apply EdgeOverview The Cybersecurity Analyst will help protect the organization’s systems, networks, and data by monitoring security alerts, investigating potential threats, and identifying vulnerabilities. This person will work closely with IT leadership to assess risk, recommend remediation, and ensure security controls are working effectively.The role also provides exposure to broader IT operations, including server upgrades, infrastructure maintenance, system testing, and the secure use of AI tools across the company. It’s a great opportunity for an early-career cybersecurity professional looking to build hands-on experience across both security and IT infrastructure.Job ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze security alerts, threats, and vulnerabilities across systems and networks.Investigate security incidents, assess their impact, and prioritize findings for remediation.Test and evaluate security controls to verify effective implementation and remediation.Assist employees with secure and responsible use of AI tools, ensuring compliance with policies.Support server upgrades, systems testing, and infrastructure maintenance during scheduled hours.Maintain detailed documentation of security configurations, assets, and technical processes.Provide backup help desk support to address technical issues and ensure operational continuity.Escalate major risks and policy decisions to authorized leadership for resolution.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, or related field.1-3 years of experience in information technology or information security roles.Proficiency in information security concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, phishing, and malware.Familiarity with Windows server environments, networking fundamentals, Microsoft 365, Linux, and Active Directory.Knowledge of security monitoring tools, endpoint protection, web filtering, and firewall systems.Experience with MDR (Managed Detection and Response) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response).Strong analytical skills to assess risks and prioritize findings effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
