Cyber Security Analyst

About the RoleAre you a recent graduate, career changer, or someone looking to start a career in Cyber Security?We are looking for motivated individuals to begin their career in an Entry-Level Cyber Security environment. You do not need previous professional Cyber Security experience. What matters is your interest in cybersecurity, willingness to learn, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical problems.You will support security teams with monitoring, security investigations, vulnerability management, and day-to-day cybersecurity activities while developing practical experience with security tools and processes.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor security alerts and assist with identifying potential security incidents.Support the investigation of suspicious activity and security events.Assist with vulnerability scanning and basic security assessments.Review security logs and help identify unusual activity.Support user access and security control reviews.Assist with endpoint, network, and system security activities.Maintain accurate records of security incidents and investigations.Escalate potential security incidents to senior security team members.Support the implementation of security policies and procedures.Assist with security awareness and risk management activities.Follow organisational security, data protection, and compliance procedures.Skills & KnowledgeYou don't need professional Cyber Security experience, but an interest in cybersecurity and basic understanding of areas such as:Cyber Security fundamentalsNetworking fundamentalsWindows and Linux fundamentalsInformation security principlesThreats and vulnerabilitiesSecurity monitoring and incident responseAccess control and authenticationFirewalls and endpoint securitySecurity logs and basic analysisData protection and security best practicesRisk management fundamentalsEducationA degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Networking, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline can be helpful, but relevant technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also be considered.Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
