Cyber Security Engineer

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a top multinational offering hybrid remote work and a strong packageResponsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise security solutions.
• Implement layered security controls across infrastructure and applications.
• Conduct secure architecture reviews and threat modelling.
• Apply Zero Trust and defence-in-depth principles.
• Access Firewall configuration, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Access proposed network, infrastructure and changes.
• Secure cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure).
• Harden servers (Linux/Windows) according to industry best practices.
• Manage endpoint protection and EDR solutions.
• Support monitoring of SIEM tools for suspicious activity.
• Support the Investigation of security alerts and lead incident response activities.
• Support implementation of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST).Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5 years plus of experience in cyber security or security engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of:o Networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS)o LAN, WAN, Cloud based networking and SD-WAN.o On premise and cloud-based infrastructureo Security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)o Firewall policy configurationo Identity and Access Management (IAM)For more info you can contact david@db-recruitment.ie
