This role is primarily focused on safeguarding the organisation’s digital and physical assets, monitoring for potential risks, and supporting the implementation of security controls. As part of an agile team, you will also provide IT support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the business, ensuring our security systems and hardware are full up to date and protected from all threats.This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to deepen their expertise while gaining exposure to the technology and security practices.Key DeliverablesMonitor security tools and dashboards for alertsInvestigate and respond to security alerts, escalating where necessary.Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues.Support device setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.Help maintain IT asset records and documentation.Assist in vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation efforts.Assist with the maintenance of cybersecurity solutions such as endpoint protection, SIEM, and MFA.Help maintain and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.Conduct threat intelligence and risk assessments.Assist with internal audits and compliance checks (e.g., SOC 2, Cyber Essentials).Contribute to security awareness initiatives and training programmes.Experience and Qualifications1–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity / IT role.Degree in computer science or any other relevant fieldStrong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g., threat vectors, defence in depth).Familiarity with Windows and Mac environments and Microsoft 365.Basic experience with security tools (e.g., antivirus, firewalls, SIEM).Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Exposure to incident response or threat hunting.Familiarity with compliance and controls audits (SOC2, Cyber Essentials )Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys).Knowledge of networking protocols and secure configurations.Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or equivalent.Why S64?S64 offers a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of private markets, technology, and institutional distribution at a time of structural change.You will be part of a firm that operates behind the scenes of some of the most sophisticated investment platforms globally, helping bring private markets to scale without compromising on quality or control.
