CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY | Cyber Security Manager | DubaiA confidential opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cyber Security Manager to join a regulated financial services organization in Dubai.This is a critical role within a technology environment where security, regulatory compliance and commercial agility need to work together.We are looking for someone who understands that effective cyber security is not simply about adding controls and processes. The successful candidate will help build an environment that is secure, resilient and compliant while remaining nimble, flexible and capable of moving at the pace of the business.The roleYou will work within a matrix technology operating model, partnering closely with other technology and business leaders to ensure that cyber security, technology risk and governance requirements are embedded into how we operate.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the organization's cyber security agenda and security governance framework.Ensuring alignment with UAE Central Bank (CBUAE) regulatory and cyber security expectations.Working closely with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit and business leadership.Maintaining appropriate cyber security controls without unnecessarily slowing innovation or business execution.Developing and maintaining security policies, standards, risk assessments and control frameworks.Overseeing cyber risk identification, remediation and reporting.Supporting regulatory examinations, audits and remediation programmes.Managing security incidents and ensuring appropriate response and recovery processes.Working with technology teams to ensure security is embedded into architecture, applications, infrastructure and change.Providing clear, commercially minded advice to senior leadership on cyber risk and security priorities.What we are looking forThis role requires direct financial services experience. Experience in a general corporate or technology environment alone will not be sufficient.You should have experience within:Financial Services → Payments → ideally Merchant AcquiringCandidates with direct experience working for a Payment Service Provider (PSP), particularly within a merchant acquiring or payments environment, will be strongly preferred.Experience dealing directly with UAE Central Bank regulatory requirements is essential.We are looking for someone who can operate comfortably between regulation, technology and commercial reality — someone who understands the regulatory requirements but can also challenge unnecessary complexity and help the business remain competitive.Essential experienceCyber security leadership experience within financial services.Direct experience within a Payment Service Provider / payments business.Ideally, experience within merchant acquiring.Proven experience working with UAE Central Bank / CBUAE regulatory requirements.Strong understanding of cyber security governance, technology risk and regulatory controls.Experience operating within a matrix technology organization.Ability to work effectively with senior Technology, Risk, Compliance and business stakeholders.A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to cyber security.If you do not have direct payments/PSP and UAE Central Bank experience, this opportunity is unlikely to be the right fit.
