Cyber Security Technical Analyst

I'm currently working with a major Queensland organisation seeking a Cyber Security Technical Analyst to join a large-scale Security Program focused on improving cyber security controls, resilience and operational readiness across both IT and OT environments. The program brings together multiple workstreams aligned to cyber security frameworks, regulatory requirements and broader technology strategy.This role is ideal for a security professional who enjoys translating security obligations, assessment findings and control gaps into practical, delivery-ready remediation activities. You'll work closely with cyber security, architecture, engineering, operations and project teams to support key uplift initiatives across identity and privileged access management, Active Directory remediation, OT security controls, technical control uplift, assurance activities and service transition.Key areas of focus include:Identity and privileged access analysis across IT and OT environmentsActive Directory and access control remediation initiativesSecurity control uplift and cyber resilience activitiesTechnical requirements gathering and remediation planningAssurance activities, evidence packs and cyber maturity assessmentsSupporting operational readiness, testing and service transition activitiesWe're looking for candidates who bring experience in:Cyber security uplift and technical analysisOT security, infrastructure or critical infrastructure environmentsIdentity and Access Management (IAM), PAM and Active DirectorySecurity frameworks such as Essential Eight, NIST, AESCSF and SOCI/CIRMPStakeholder engagement, technical discovery and workshop facilitationTranslating complex technical findings into actionable delivery outcomesContract: Initial 12-month engagement (to September 2027)Working Arrangement: Flexible, with attendance at the office required for project workshops and key meetingsStart: ASAP (interviews commencing next weekIf you're looking to play a key role in a significant cyber security transformation program and have experience across both security analysis and remediation delivery, I'd be keen to hear from you.
