Your primary responsibility will be to monitor security events and incidents, conducting initial triage and response. You will utilize various security tools to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats, working collaboratively with your teammates to ensure a strong security posture.ResponsibilitiesMonitor security events and alerts from various security sourcesTriage and analyze security incidents and determine appropriate response actionsPerform initial incident response tasks, including containment and remediationCollaborate with other members of the SOC team to investigate and resolve security incidentsDocument and report security incidents and response activitiesMaintain and update documentation of security processes and proceduresConduct basic analysis of network traffic and log data to identify potential threatsStay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trendsParticipate in regular training and knowledge sharing sessionsRequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related fieldRelevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferredKnowledge of information security concepts, principles, and best practicesExperience or knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protectionUnderstanding of network protocols and TCP/IP fundamentalsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsKeen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotation
