Role Description The Cybersecurity Awareness & Support Specialist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Sharjah, with flexibility for some work from home. This role focuses on promoting cybersecurity awareness across the organization, including developing and delivering training materials, campaigns, and guidance to help team members recognize and respond to security risks. The specialist will support day-to-day security operations by assisting with incident reporting, documenting potential threats, and escalating issues to technical security teams as needed. Responsibilities include helping to review basic security practices for applications and networks, maintaining security documentation and playbooks, and coordinating with IT and compliance stakeholders to support policies and regulatory requirements. The role also involves monitoring cybersecurity communication channels, answering staff questions about secure behavior, and contributing to continuous improvement of Throne’s security culture.QualificationsCandidates should possess foundational skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, including awareness of common threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.Candidates should possess skills related to Network Security and Cyber, such as understanding secure network configurations, access controls, and safe use of online resources.Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, including familiarity with secure software usage and basic secure coding or configuration principles.Experience supporting security awareness programs, training, or internal communications related to security is beneficial.Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts in clear, accessible language.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and handle sensitive information with discretion.Relevant coursework, certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP Associate, or equivalent), or prior experience in a security or IT support role are preferred.Comfort working in a clinical or healthcare-related environment and interest in Throne’s mission to advance autoimmune disease therapies are advantageous.
