The Cybersecurity Engineer will design, implement, and maintain security controls across applications, networks, and information systems to safeguard client and organizational assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and implementing remediation measures. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures, supporting compliance efforts, and continuously improving security posture through policy development, documentation, and training. The Cybersecurity Engineer will also evaluate emerging threats and technologies to recommend enhancements to existing security tools and processes.Qualifications Strong foundation in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to design and implement comprehensive security strategies.Experience in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.Skills in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code reviews, and application penetration testing.Proficiency in Vulnerability Assessment, including use of scanning tools, risk analysis, and remediation planning.Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, Security+, or equivalent are highly beneficial.Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM platforms, and incident response processes.Ability to analyze complex technical issues, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document findings and recommendations.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
