Faculty members collaborate to create an inclusive, student-centered learning atmosphere where cultural activities and performances are valued as part of overall growth.Role Description The Dance and Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons in dance and music for students across different age groups, ensuring activities are appropriate to their skill level and curriculum requirements. Responsibilities include planning annual and weekly lesson plans, teaching theory and practical aspects of music and dance, preparing students for school events, competitions, and cultural programs, and organizing rehearsals and performances. The teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment. Collaboration with other teachers to integrate arts into school events, assemblies, and celebrations is expected. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Green Valley English School Kerakat in Jaunpur.Qualifications Strong proficiency in at least one form of dance (classical, contemporary, folk, or Bollywood) and ability to teach basic to intermediate choreography.Ability to teach vocal and/or instrumental music, including rhythm, melody, and basic music theory appropriate for school students.Experience planning age-appropriate lessons, managing classroom activities, and maintaining discipline in a school setting.Good communication skills in English and local languages, with the ability to explain concepts clearly and encourage student participation.Previous teaching experience in schools, academies, or performing arts institutes is preferred.Formal training, certification, or a degree/diploma in Dance, Music, Performing Arts, or a related field is highly beneficial.Ability to coordinate and direct school programs, annual functions, and cultural events involving music and dance performances.Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory teaching practices, and a positive attitude toward student diversity.
