Classes are structured to support both recreational dancers and those pursuing more advanced training. The studio fosters a welcoming, inclusive environment where students can grow artistically and personally.Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Dance Instructor role based at 5678 Dance Inc. in Parkland, FL. The Dance Instructor is responsible for planning and teaching engaging dance classes that develop students’ technique, musicality, and performance skills across appropriate styles and age groups. Day-to-day tasks include creating lesson plans, leading warm-ups and choreography, demonstrating movements safely, and providing constructive feedback to students. The instructor will track student progress, prepare dancers for studio performances or recitals, and collaborate with studio leadership to maintain consistent standards and a positive classroom environment. Additional responsibilities may include attending staff meetings, assisting with events, and supporting studio policies and safety guidelines.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Dance Instruction and Dance Education, with experience teaching diverse age groups and levels.Candidates should possess solid Teaching skills, including classroom management, lesson planning, and clear, supportive communication.Candidates should possess advanced Dance skills in one or more styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap) and demonstrate proper technique and safety.Candidates should possess an understanding of Music as it relates to rhythm, timing, and musicality in choreography and performance.Additional beneficial qualifications include prior studio or school teaching experience, experience preparing students for performances, and familiarity with child and adolescent development.Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff are important.Formal training or certification in dance or dance education is preferred, and CPR/first aid certification is an asset.
