Data & Analytics Platform Developer (Tableau, Alteryx, BI)

Job Purpose:The Data & Analytics Platform Developer is responsible for the administration, development, support, and optimization of enterprise analytics and business intelligence platforms, including Tableau, Alteryx, and Microsoft BI technologies. The role ensures the availability, performance, security, and reliability of reporting and analytics environments while delivering scalable data integration, visualization, and business intelligence solutions that support organizational decision-making.Key Accountabilities:Administer, maintain, and support Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, Alteryx Server, and BI platforms across enterprise environments.Design, develop, and publish dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics solutions using Tableau and Power BI.Develop and maintain ETL processes, data integration workflows, and semantic models using SSIS and SSAS.Monitor platform health, system performance, and application availability through proactive monitoring and alerting activities.Manage incidents, problems, service requests, and change activities in accordance with ITIL best practices.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.Support platform upgrades, migrations, patching activities, and environment optimization initiatives.Ensure compliance with security standards, audit requirements, access management controls, and periodic user access reviews.Administer authentication and authorization mechanisms including Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, and SAML integrations.Collaborate with infrastructure, database, networking, security, and business teams to support analytics and reporting solutions.Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, support guides, and knowledge repositories.Support high-availability and multi-node platform environments to ensure business continuity and operational excellence.Provide L2/L3 application support and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related.Tableau, Microsoft BI, Alteryx, ITIL, or Data Analytics certifications are preferred.Minimum Experience:+4 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Platform Administration, Application Support, or Data Engineering.Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: Tableau, Alteryx, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI.Experience supporting enterprise reporting, analytics, or data platform environments.Experience working within SLA-driven support and operational environments.Experience in platform upgrades, migrations, or enterprise application administration is preferred.Job-Specific Skills:Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Cloud, and Tableau Prep Builder.Tableau Administration, Dashboard Development, and Performance Optimization.Alteryx Server Administration and Platform Support.SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).ETL Development, Data Integration, and Data Transformation.Data Warehousing, Data Modeling, and Semantic Modeling.Power BI Reporting and Data Visualization.Advanced SQL and Database Management.Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server databases.Windows Server and Linux Administration.Bash and/or Python Scripting.Authentication and Security Integration (SSO, SAML, LDAP, Active Directory).Networking Fundamentals (DNS, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers).ITIL Processes, Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.Troubleshooting, Log Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Operational Support.Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
