Data Analyst

A leading Australian energy market participant is seeking a Data Analyst to join its growing team.Working closely with energy market team, you'll help build and maintain the data infrastructure that supports market analysis, forecasting, reporting and commercial decision-making across the NEM.Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain data pipelines using AEMO and market datasetsAutomate data collection, processing and reporting workflowsSupport market analysis, forecasting and trading activities through high-quality data solutionsDevelop and enhance cloud-based data platforms and toolsPartner with trading, commercial and analytics teams to deliver data-driven insightsImprove data quality, reliability and engineering standards across the businessExperience4+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Data Analytics within the energy spaceStrong understanding of the National Electricity Market (NEM)Experience working with AEMO data, including Dispatch and SettlementsStrong Python and SQL skillsExperience with Azure, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes or data orchestration toolsEnergy market or renewables mandatoryAbout you:Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skillsCommercially minded with an interest in energy marketsProactive, self-driven and comfortable taking ownershipAble to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersThis is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing organisation at the forefront of Australia's energy transition, with strong exposure to market analytics, trading and commercial decision-making.For more information around jobs within Energy Markets, Trading & Analytics, or to apply, please email Paul.Acheson@JDRossEnergy.com.
