Founded in Perth in 2023, we help mining, oil and gas clients unlock the value in their operational data and use it to drive real improvement in how they run.Our work spans industrial IT/OT integration, modern data platforms, visualisation, environmental compliance monitoring and process automation.We're a close-knit team. Either way, our people work together and back each other up.We're growing quickly, across new clients and new commodities — and we're looking for people who want to grow with us.THIS ROLEYou'll start out in a delivery team working with one of our resources sector clients, building the data models and dashboards behind their business-wide performance reporting.The work supports a rollout of standardised metrics and performance boards used by operational leaders every day. Getting the metrics defined consistently and modelled properly is the core of it — foundational work that shapes how a major operation runs.That engagement is a starting point rather than the whole job. As our work evolves you'll take on other clients and other projects across the business, so we're looking for someone who likes variety and settles quickly into new environments.RESPONSIBILITIESData ModellingBuild reusable data models in Databricks supporting routine reporting and ad-hoc analysisIntegrate data from operational databases, industrial historians and enterprise systemsClean and transform data for quality and consistencyDocument sources, transformations and metric definitionsAnalysis and VisualisationDevelop Power BI dashboards, reports and performance boardsImplement standardised metrics and hierarchies into data modelsIdentify trends and insights in complex operational dataDesign visualisations that make complex data accessible to decision-makersClient WorkWork with stakeholders to understand their data needs and business objectivesHelp define, standardise and validate metrics across the businessCommunicate with both technical and non-technical audiencesRun and contribute to client meetings and workshopsRepresent Codida professionally on siteOwnershipManage your own tasks and prioritiesTake deliverables from requirements through to deliveryIdentify improvements to process and data qualityShare knowledge with client personnel and with the wider Codida teamREQUIRED EXPERIENCEPower BI: Advanced data modelling, DAX, report design and performance tuningDatabricks: Hands-on experience — SQL, notebooks, Delta tablesSQL: Strong query writing and manipulation of large datasetsData Modelling: Dimensional modelling and semantic layer designCommunication: Clear written and verbal communication with non-technical audiencesClient Presence: Comfortable working client-facingIndependence: Able to take initiative where requirements are unclearAttention to Detail: Thoroughness in data preparation and analysisQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related fieldPower BI or Databricks certification is valuedMining, resources or heavy industrial experience is preferredExposure to historians, SCADA or ERP data is an advantageExperience with performance management or metric standardisation programs is an advantageWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary packageFlexible working arrangements, with a mix of client site and our own officeWork on serious industrial data problems with major clientsVariety across clients, commodities and problemsCareer progression in a growing companyProfessional development and training supportA close-knit team with a genuine focus on work-life balanceHOW TO APPLYIf you're ready to take on an exciting role where your analytical skills will directly impact Australia's resources sector, we want to hear from you.
